So today Inbal wanted a 1D cake, or One Direction. She liked the idea of having their logo on a Union Jack. It was Inbal's idea to add the stars. I think it was actually a very good idea!

2-Tier Sugar Fondant Birthday Cake

Well the challenge this year was a 2-tier sugar fondant birthday cake for my 10 year old daughter. My daughter is over the moon - so I guess it looks OK :-)

My new sugar fondant smoother worked like magic. It made the finish so professional.

Dog in Kennel

I made this cake last month for my daughter's classmate. I made a similar cake a long time ago, but this one came out better I think. I also only used natural food colorings which didn't exist when I made the last one.

Garfield Sugar Fondant Birthday Cake

I am very happy with the Garfield birthday cake I made today for Inbal's 8th birthday. I was even happier to see her face when she saw it.

This birthday cake didn't take too long to make, only around 1 1/2 hours. Not long compared to others I have made in the past.
